At Domaine à Deux, the 2026 harvest began on August 17 with the Pinot Noir and Gamay, followed by the Chardonnay, Sauvignon, and Chenin, and concluded on Friday, September 4, with our Côt for our Subtil Équilibre cuvée .

The 2026 vintage was certainly full of surprises. The summer heat and drought accelerated ripening and led to a particularly early harvest throughout the Loire region. Harvesting at the right time was essential to preserve the grapes’ freshness, control the potential alcohol levels, and maintain good acidity.

From now on, everything happens in the cellars, with close monitoring of the fermentation process and the wine’s balance to ensure the best possible outcome for each cuvée.
